  1. How do I book a party with The Glass Slipper?

Simply contact us through our website or call us at (559) 975-9071 or (559) 908-8348.

Our customers are very important to us and we thank you for understanding that we are a home-based business and our families are our priority, so please allow up to 24 hours for a return phone call (although we normally will call you sooner) as we can receive several calls each day to return. Also, if you contact us through the website, we respond to these messages also within 24 hours. If you have not received a return message within this time, we have experienced a problem responding to you. (We have noticed this happens when you contact us through some company emails for some reason). So, if you have not received a response from us within 24 hours, please try to reach us through a different email account or feel free to call us.

After your party date request is received, we will mail you (we can also email or fax this information to you) a packet that includes an instruction sheet and simple contract. We ask that within 7 days you return the signed contract and a $100 non-refundable deposit payable to "The Glass Slipper" (required to hold your party date). We accept a check atleast 14 days prior to party date (there is a $25.00 fee for any check that is returned to us). This deposit goes towards the cost of your party, which will be paid completely the day we arrive at your party by cash. Please understand if we do not receive your completed paperwork and deposit within 7 days, you will forfeit your event date for another potential booking.

Once your party is booked and all paperwork is completed and returned to us, we arrive the day of your party for set up. For most parties, set-up requires a minimum of 2 hours (and that is working quickly with no interruptions) so please keep this in mind when deciding what time you would like your items delivered. Feel free to contact me with any questions you may have.

  2. What if I need to cancel or postpone my party?

If you have to postpone, we will work with you to reschedule your party to another day that will work, but you must inform us at least 7 days prior to your party date.  Due to the reservation nature of our business, the $100 deposit is non-refundable, but it can be applied towards the cost of another party if held within 60 days of the original party date.  Parties may only be postponed one time. If you choose to cancel our services for any reason, your deposit will not be refunded.

  3. What if there is bad weather or illness?
In the unlikely event of bad weather, The Glass Slipper reserves the right to reschedule your party delivery. If the guest of honor becomes ill, we will gladly work with you to choose an alternate date for your party based on availability. See our policy on question above for more information.

  4. Are custom party invitations provided?

Yes. Eight personalized invitations are provided with your party package for you to mail or hand deliver to your guests. The eight guests include the guest of honor. For parties over eight, there is a fee of $1.50-$2.00 per invitation.

  5. Do you need a final RSVP count?

We provide your items based on the count given to us at your booking time. Our packages are ready for a total of eight guests and that is what we will bring to your party (unless your initial booking is for more than 8) . If you reserved for eight guests, but more are coming then we would definitely need a revised RSVP count as soon as it is available. If less than 8 guests RSVP- we would not need this information since your party package will come with settings for atleast 8 guests.

  6. Where can I host my party?

Typically, we bring the entire decor of the party to your home or you may choose a location of your choice (all of the details for use of this alternate location must be organized by you). If you need suggestions for an alternate location, please contact us.

The Glass Slipper assumes no responsibility or liability for any accidents or damages that may occur at any location.

Outdoor Parties: If the weather is nice, you may take the party outdoors to a clean, non-grassy, non-dirt area such as a patio, deck or garage. The children will not be permitted to go into grassy or dirt areas while in attire and accessories provided by The Glass Slipper. If you do have an outdoor function and must use sunscreen, you may be responsible for damage caused to our costumes from use of these products. We reserve the right to determine if the outdoor area is suitable for our equipment. Please provide an area indoors for the children to change into costumes. In addition, please have an indoor back-up location available to accommodate all guests in case weather conditions change. Remember, children may not want to dress up and may not enjoy the party as much if it is hot outside- and we all know how hot in gets in Fresno!!! Please advise The Glass Slipper of the possibility of an outdoor party in advance.

  8. What is the maximum attendance?

  9. What should children wear at my party?
For princess dress up we recommend that girls wear a leotard underneath for easy changing and dressing. For the spa party we recommend comfortable clothing to wear under the robes. For Diva, comfortable clothing can be worn under our dresses if your guests wish. For the Slumber party guests wear pajamas or whatever they are most comfortable in. For the Pink Poodle In Paris, we recommend guests wear either a white or black leotard or white or black shirt to match the pink poodle skirt. Boys attending parties can wear a t-shirt and pants or shorts. Please contact us with any other questions.

  11. Parking for hostess?

We kindly request that you allow space for us to park as close to the entrance of your home as possible as we do carry many heavy items into your party. In case of rain, entrance through a covered garage would be greatly appreciated!

  12. How far do your services reach?

We are located in the Madera/Fresno/Clovis, California area. We will travel up to 20 miles for your event without travel fees. A travel fee of $1.00 for every mile traveled over 20 miles (coming and going) will be added to the final balance for party locations outside 20- mile radius of our address as measured through MapQuest. 13. What ages are appropriate for your parties?
Our parties are for 3 years and up. For safety reasons, children under 3 years of age will not be permitted to use The Glass Slipper equipment. If you have a special party request for children younger than 3, please contact us to discuss your needs. For costumes, we have sizes 4-6, 6-8 and 10-12 for the princess dress up and diva. 14. I am interested in having a Princess character at our party. What does the Princess do at the party?

Our Princess character typically arrives at your party approximately 20 minutes after the party has started to insure all guests have arrived.

She will greet the Guest of Honor first and then meet and greet with the other guests.

She will apply makeup and stickers for the birthday girl and party guests and also sit down to tea with the party guests next to the birthday girl at tea parties.

She also typically will read a story to everyone, parade with guests and pose for photos.

Please feel free to contact us with any special requests for Princess.

  18. Other considerations

For purposes of maintaining the highest quality of our costumes and accessories, we kindly ask that any food and beverages that will be served to the children while in costume be approved beforehand. Beverages should be light in color or clear (no cola products or fruit punch) and please, no food items containing tomatoes, tomato sauce or dark colored jellies or anything else that may stain our costumes. Clients often request a list of recommended foods to serve at tea parties- finger foods work well such as: "goldfish", pretzels, mini-marshmallows, chicken fingers (without dipping sauces) turkey and cheese sandwiches, peanut butter and banana sandwiches (sandwiches are cute cut with different shape cookie cutters- crowns, slipper, castle), small hot dogs or Lil' smokies (can be messy- use your best judgement based upon age of your guests) baked in crescent roll dough, chex mix, apple  or other fruit slices, pound cake pieces, powdered donuts, etc. When making sandwiches, be careful not to use too much filling to avoid unwanted stains. We thank you in advance for your cooperation.
